Zoobooks Arrived!

I received four copies of Zoobooks today. Very excited to share them with my granddaughter when she arrives in a few weeks. Whenever we are in the car, it is nice to have something interesting for her to look at, especially something educational, like science topics. Since she is only five, she isn't yet ready to read on her own but she can explore the pictures. Then, she'll be ready to read the articles with me at bedtime. Even at five, she knows grandma will let her stay up a little bit later if we are reading!

A few positives that stood out for me about Zoobooks
  • The images are great and included both photographs of the animals and drawn images with scientific information in the captions.
  • Sentence structure was simple enough for an early reader of 6-8, but still had enough complex words to challenge more advanced readers.
  • Included codes for additional online activities, puzzles, poster, and examples of art readers had submitted = a variety of activities to entertain elementary age children, probably for a whole car ride.
